HVAC pricebook software: questions before switching

Evaluate HVAC pricebook workflows, updates, margins, technician presentation, approvals, and accounting handoffs.

A pricebook is more than a list of tasks. It should help technicians present clear options, protect margins, and keep estimates consistent across the team.

Ask how prices are updated, who can edit items, whether images and descriptions are included, and how discounts, memberships, financing, and tax are handled.

Test the handoff from estimate to approved work, invoice, payment, and reporting. If the pricebook cannot support daily selling in the field, it will not deliver the promised operational value.
